How to choose an OnlyFans vault tool: a checklist for creators and agencies

There are many tools that touch the OnlyFans vault, from browser extensions to full agency platforms. They solve different problems, and a feature list on a landing page rarely tells you which one fits yours.

Use this checklist to compare tools on facts. You do not need every item. You need to know which ones matter for how you work.

First, know which problem you have

Most people are trying to solve one of these:

If your problem is...Look for...
Finding things in a large vaultBulk selection, filtering, lists
Loading lots of contentBulk upload straight into the vault
Losing content or leaving a platformBulk download and backup
Several accountsMulti-account support and copying between accounts
Team and chattersTeam features, permissions
Fan messaging and analyticsA broader management platform

A vault-focused tool and a full chat-and-analytics platform are different products. Decide which one you actually need.

The checklist

1. How does it log in?

This is the most important question.

  • Does it ask for your OnlyFans password?
  • Does it store the password, or a login session?
  • Is the session kept on your computer or on a company server?
  • Is it encrypted?

A tool that never sees your password has far less to lose. OnlyVault works this way: you sign in on the platform's own website inside the app, and the encrypted session stays on your computer.

2. Can it write directly into the vault?

OnlyFans has no plain "upload to vault" button, so creators often post and delete, or message files to a second account. Check whether the tool can upload straight into the vault and a chosen list without publishing anything. See how to upload media straight to your OnlyFans vault.

3. How does it handle large uploads?

  • Is there a limit per batch?
  • Does it skip files already in the vault?
  • Does it run in the background, with pause, resume and retry?
  • Can it upload to several accounts at once?

4. Can it download and back up?

There is no official bulk export, so check:

  • Can you download selected items and whole lists?
  • Is the output organized (for example by account and list)?
  • Does it skip files you already downloaded on the next run?
  • Is it reliable on large vaults?

Also remember that images and videos in the vault usually carry your own watermark, so keep your clean originals as your master copy. See how to back up your OnlyFans vault.

5. How does it handle several accounts?

  • How many accounts can you bind?
  • Can you switch between vaults without logging out?
  • Can you copy media between accounts, and into the same list name?
  • Do lists stay consistent across accounts?

6. How safe is deleting?

Bulk delete is where mistakes get expensive. Look for:

  • A confirmation step before anything is removed
  • A stronger confirmation for large deletions
  • A log of what was deleted
  • A clear difference between removing from a list and deleting from the vault

7. What does it cost, and how is it billed?

  • Per account, per seat or per percentage of revenue?
  • Is there a free tier so you can test it?
  • Is billing monthly, and what happens if a payment is missed?
  • Are the prices shown before you sign up?

A percentage of revenue and a fixed fee per account behave very differently as you grow.

8. Is it a desktop app or in the browser?

Both are fine. Desktop apps usually handle large files, background tasks and local storage better. Browser tools are easier to try. Think about how much media you move, and where you want the files to live.

9. Can you leave?

  • Can you unbind an account and remove its data from your computer?
  • Do you keep every file you downloaded?
  • Is there a clear way to cancel?

Questions to ask any vendor

If you are unsure, send these:

  1. Do you ever see or store my OnlyFans password?
  2. Where is my login session stored?
  3. What exactly happens when I click delete?
  4. What is the limit per upload batch?
  5. What do I keep if I stop paying?

Clear answers are a good sign. Vague ones are a good reason to look elsewhere.

FAQ

Do I need a full agency platform or just a vault tool?

If your problem is the vault (uploading, cleaning up, backing up, copying between accounts), a vault-focused tool is enough. If you also need fan messaging, analytics and team workflows, you need a broader platform.

Is a browser extension enough for backup?

It can be, but check how reliable it is on a large vault, whether it organizes the files it downloads, and whether it skips files you already have.

Does a vault tool need my password?

It should not need to. Prefer tools where you sign in on the platform's own website and the session stays on your computer, like OnlyVault.

How do I compare prices fairly?

Estimate your own numbers first: how many accounts you run and how they will grow. Then compare per-account, per-seat and revenue-share pricing on those numbers.

Can I try a tool before committing?

Look for a free tier or a trial. OnlyVault is planned with one account free so you can test every feature before binding more.
